Northwestern Polytechnic welcomes new Board of Governors Chair

Shawna Miller is the new board of governors Chair for Northwestern Polytechnic (NWP). Miller was previously a part of the Grande Prairie and District Chamber of Commerce Board and served as the chair for two years.

Miller says the city, and greater Grande Prairie region has given her so many wonderful opportunities, and she is looking forward to the new position to try and make a difference for the next generation of education.

“I’ve enjoyed enormous success in my life, and I attribute that to Grande Prairie. I don’t think that there are a lot of places on earth that I could have accomplished the things that I have in the time that I have.” Miller says

The NWP board describes Miller as someone who views post-secondary as a crucial asset in fostering further growth and innovation within the region. In 2019 Miller was honored as an NWP Distinguished Alumni.
