UPDATE: The closure of 124th Avenue scheduled for today has been postponed to Friday and Saturday.
Work being done to replace the 100th Street West service road will mean the closure of 124th Avenue almost all day Thursday.
Wapiti Gravel Suppliers is removing and replacing the road structure and pavement surface, as well as parts of the curb and sidewalk between 121st and 128th Avenues. 124th will be closed from the early morning through most of the day.
During construction, only local traffic will be able to access businesses in the day, but the city notes that night work is no longer going ahead due to “unforeseen circumstances”.
