Local apiarists to gather for Beekeeper’s Field Day

The Beaverlodge Research Farm is hosting the 62nd Annual Beekeeper’s Field Day tomorrow. A busy day is planned with experts on hand to talk about the latest in the industry and provide advice to local apiarists.

Beekeeper’s Field Day is also an opportunity for those not in the industry to learn more about the vital role bees play in agriculture.

Guest Speaker Michelle Flenniken from the Montana State University will be at the Research Farm on Friday the talk about her ongoing research on the role of honey bee viruses in colony health.

There will be a complimentary barbecue lunch and the event is free for anyone to attend.
