RCMP keeping mum on fatal crash factors, victim’s ID

Grande Prairie RCMP won’t be releasing any identifying information about the man who lost his life in a car crash Saturday night. Initial reports indicate that the vehicle was travelling south on 108th Street around 6 p.m. when it collided with the median and then struck a pole at the intersection with 97th Avenue.

The deceased was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name, age, and hometown are not being released by police. They also won’t indicate what factors they are investigating as potential causes for the crash.
