Crash on 108th Street claims life of male driver

A man has died in a car crash on 108th Street Saturday evening. The single vehicle collosion occurred just after 6 p.m. at the intersection with 97th Avenue.

The driver was the only person involved, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Grande Prairie RCMP says its preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling south on 108th and hit the median before colliding with a pole.

The deceased’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
