The process of putting together next season’s edition of the Grande Prairie Storm begins this weekend. Coach and GM Matt Hughes says around 80-90 players will be at the camp, including several current players eligible to return next year.
“It gives the coaching staff a better gauge about where some of these younger guys are at. Â It is really easy to get into a camp and shine among your peers, but when you are playing against and competing against guys that have already played 50-60 games in the league, it gives us a good idea of how guys are going to compete against older players.”
Registration goes at 4pm tomorrow at the Games Arena, with the first scrimages beginning at 5:15. There will also be action on Saturday and Sunday, and the public is welcome to come check it out.
