Freezing rain warning issued for Grande Prairie area

A freezing rain warning has been issued for most of the Peace Country. Environment Canada is advising that the rain should taper off later Friday morning but it’s warned surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays.”
