Beaverlodge RCMP is on the lookout for a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman Thursday night. Just after 8 p.m., a young woman was walking through Hommy Park when she passed a man walking. A few minutes later the same man forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
He was carrying a knife that was used in the assault, and the victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. She reported the incident to police immediately and is cooperating with their investigation.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his early 20’s, with shoulder length, greasy, wavy hair, and blue eyes. He was 5’11”, wearing a black hoodie and jeans, with no discernible accent. Anyone that could help identify this man, or was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything unusual is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
