PWA Teachers give a “leg up” to cancer fundraiser

Three teachers at Peace Wapiti Academy are parting ways with their leg hair this week to help a group of students raise money for a good cause.

A group of 18 students have signed up to take part in this Friday’s Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life and in an effort to get their donations up have enlisted the help of three of their teachers.

PWA CTS teacher Joshua Kostanuick was the first to go under the hot wax, with students paying $3 or $5 to remove a strip of leg hair Tuesday. Phys Ed teacher Randy Nagal offered has offered up one leg to students already and will offer the second tomorrow. Math and Physics teacher Farouq Hassanali will bare all… of his legs that is, for students tomorrow as well.

Students too shy to take hot wax to legs of their beloved teachers can also pay $2 admission to watch the spectacle.
