The City of Grande Prairie will celebrate Municipal Government day again tomorrow. The theme for this year’s festivities is “100 Years of Fire Service”.
The family affair will be at Muskoseepi Park, starting at 4 pm rain or shine. There will be a firefighter obstacle course, interactive displays on the Philip J Currie Dinosaur Museum and the Tour of Alberta, and local music.
Various city departments and community organizations will be on hand as well for residents to ask questions and find out more about just what it is they do in the community. The winners of the Youth Art Contest and the Good Neighbor Awards will be announced during tomorrow’s barbecue as well.
There will be no on-site parking so anyone planning on attending is encouraged to walk or take advantage of free transit from noon to 8 pm.
