Chantelle Bushie still missing 15 years after teen’s disappearance

December 1, 2022 marks 15 years since the day 16-year-old Chantelle Bushie was last seen in Grande Prairie. She has been considered a missing person since then, with no known developments in the investigation in years.

The young mother of one from Dene Tha’ First Nation was last seen in the downtown area of Grande Prairie on December 1, 2007. She was described as 5’6″, 119 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, and has a tattoo of the letters “V T” on her left hand.

According to the federal government website Canada’s Missing, Chantelle was reported missing by her family on September 14, 2009. She was known to lead a high-risk lifestyle and go by the name Kim Star.

Anyone with information on the case can contact the Grande Prairie RCMP, Crime Stoppers, or the National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains.
