City survey will guide future Grande Prairie community events

The City of Grande Prairie has released a public input survey on the city’s event strategy.

The five to ten-minute online survey looks at the development and execution of the events the city participates in and funds over the year. The results from the survey will help in developing the next year’s events strategy, to help increase each event’s benefit for city residents and the economy. The results will also help identify the areas that need improvement or that got overlooked.

The questions on the survey will focus on the responder’s values, and interests. Residents will be asked about the different barriers that may keep them from attending a city event. All of these answers will go into how events will be planned and executed in the future.

A release from the city on the public survey says “Events are an important part of supporting a strong quality of life and building an engaged and connected community that celebrates the identity and culture of Grande Prairie.”

City of Grande Prairie residents have until November 25th to complete the survey.
