The 48th Edition of the Canadian Finals Rodeo gets underway on Wednesday in Red Deer. There are five different cowboys and cowgirls from around the Peace Country that will be at this year’s event, with the hopes of coming out on top of the competition in their respective events.

Fox Creek Saddle Bronc Rider Hunter Sawley will be facing some fierce competition. Bull Rider Jacob Gardner and steer wrestler Stephen Culling of Fort St. John, B.C. will also be amongst the competitors who will be hitting the dirt on the 2nd.

Heading into CFR Neudorf is sitting ninth in the Barrel Racing Canadian Rodeo standings, while Wills is sitting fifth. Sawley sits ninth in the Saddle Bronc standings, and Gardner is sitting ninth in the Bull Riding Standings. Culling is sitting second in the Steer Wrestling standings heading into the top rodeo competition in Canada.

The CFR runs from Tuesday, November 2nd to Sunday, November 6th.
