UPDATE: Wind warning for Grande Prairie region ended

UPDATE: The warning has ended.

The Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview and Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning regions are now under a wind warning. Environment Canada says strong winds of 70 kilometres per hour with gusts up to 90 kilometers per hour will develop Thursday morning.

“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.”

It’s expected winds will ease Thursday evening.
