One charged, police searching for second suspect after recovering stolen vehicle

A Grande Prairie teen is facing several charges and a second suspect remains at large after allegedly fleeing from police when they tried to pull over what is described as a suspicious vehicle.

Police say the incident took place around 1 a.m. on October 14th, when they spotted the suspicious vehicle in the Copperwood neighbourhood. When a traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle allegedly sped off.

Mounties say the car was found a short while later near 102 Street and 128 Avenue, with two men walking away from it. One suspect was apprehended after a short foot chase, and police say a loaded rifle was found nearby at the time of the arrest. The RCMP says the truck was determined to be stolen from Spirit River.

18-year-old Dylan Roshuk-Finch is facing charges of flight from police, possession of property obtained by crime, and unauthorized possession of a firearm. A second man, who remains at large, is described as standing approximately 5’10” with a slender build and was last seen wearing a black hoodie and carrying a backpack.
