Advance polls in Grande Prairie byelection open Saturday

Saturday is your first chance to cast your ballot in the 2022 City of Grande Prairie by-election. Advance polls will be open at the Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

There are eight candidates vying for one open position on Grande Prairie city council. The next advance polling day will be October 15th and then October 17th is voting day.

In order to vote, people must be a resident of the City of Grande Prairie as of October 17th, be at least 18 years old, and a Canadian citizen. Voters must bring a piece of ID that includes their name and address, like a driver’s licence, bank statement, property tax assessment notice, or insurance policy.
