Murder suspect arrested in Little Buffalo

Two months after the shooting death of a Cadotte Lake man, the suspect has been taken into custody. The RCMP says Brenon Blake Grey was arrested without incident in Little Buffalo around 7:20 p.m. on September 26th.

Grey was wanted for the first-degree murder of 35-year-old Romeo Flett of Cadotte Lake. He was shot in a home on the First Nation on July 26th and died in an Edmonton hospital after being flown by an air ambulance.

In early September, mounties had said Grey may have been in the Peace River area. Then on September 24th, Cadotte Lake residents were told to shelter in place as it was reported he was in the area allegedly armed on a stolen quad.

Police thank residents for their patience and understanding. More information is expected to be released later on.
