Frost advisory issued for Grande Prairie, Peace River regions

For the third night in a row, frost is possible in our region. Environment Canada has issued another frost advisory for the Grande Prairie – Beaverlodge – Valleyview and Peace River – Fairview – High Prairie – Manning regions.

“With clear skies and light winds overnight, temperatures are expected to drop to the freezing point Wednesday night and into Thursday morning. Patchy to widespread frost is expected.”

People in the area are encouraged to take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
