The 2022 Rotary Community Food Bank Drive in Grande prairie is set for Thursday, but organizers say they are still in need for volunteers. As of Wednesday morning, according to officials, they were short approximately 50 teams to help collect food for the foodbank from residents across the city.
On Thursday, teams of between four and six people will be canvassing door to door across the swan city, collecting things like non-perishable items, canned protein, canned fruits and vegetables. As well as unopened personal hygiene items like toothbrushes and hygiene products.
Residents can donate to, or volunteer for the Rotary Community Food Bank Drive online as well.
