People in Peace River are being asked to stay away from the east hill as fire crews battle a grass fire.
At 1:45 p.m., firefighters received a call about a pickup truck on fire near the 12 Foot Davis gravesite. By the time they arrived the fire had spread to the nearby grass starting a grass fire.
Officials say that fire is being held. Helicopters from Alberta Agriculture and Forestry are bucketing the edge of the fire to keep it contained. No homes or buildings are in danger at this time.
