Lakeland Drive is now closed between 116th Avenue and 121st Avenue. The entire section from 116th to 95th Street is being repaved in sections.
Crews started on July 11th by grinding off the top layer of pavement, during which time the road mostly stayed open. Now they’re starting to repair catch basins, replace culverts and other storm work, which requires the street to be shut down.
The following phase will include laying and filling gravel to create a new base for the road, which will also be done in sections. The final work will be concrete and paving.
Drivers are asked to be careful heading through the area and to watch for detours.
