Public input wanted for Muskoseepi Skatepark expansion

You can have say in what the Muskoseepi Skatepark looks like in the future. The expansion design workshop is coming up on July 18th. Newline Skateparks will be getting the public’s opinion on what it should look like as they would like it to appeal to everyone in the city.

Recreation and Sport Manager for the city Kylee Haining explains that there is an increase in sports like skateboarding in the city. She adds that this will make sure that those who are doing action sports are safe.

The project is budgeted at around $475,000. The Muskoseepi location will be about double the size of the one at Eastlink Centre when it is complete. The one at Eastlink Centre was built at a cost of $190,000.

The workshop will be held at the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion in Muskoseepi Park on Tuesday, July 18th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
