A child hit by a pickup while crossing the street Tuesday morning suffered only minor injuries. The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. at the intersection of 116th Avenue and 92nd Street.
The 60 year old man driving the truck had turned west on 116th from 92nd when he hit the boy in the intersection. The youth was taking to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Grande Prairie RCMP say the driver was ticketed for not stopping for a pedestrian in a crosswalk. Anyone with information on the collision that hasn’t come forward already is asked to contact the detachment or Crime Stoppers.
