The wildfire hazard in the Grande Prairie Forest Protection Area has been bumped up to moderate. Wildifre information officer Melinda Paplawski explains that a sunny and windy weekend has pushed it up.
In the last 24 hours, there has been no new fires in the area. There has been 22 fires that burned 4.76 hectares of land this season. As of Monday June 19th, there are no fires burning in the forest area.
