The Rotary Dream Home Lottery ticket sale deadline is on April 23rd at midnight. According to Raffle Manager Kevin Hilgers, as of Friday April 14th, sales for the lottery were down 4.76 per cent. If you buy a ticket, you have a chance at the $1.5 million Dream Home in Taylor Estates.
Hilgers says 50-50 tickets are pacing ahead of last year and he hopes to clock in at $400,000 from this year’s draw. Last year, the lottery got to over $398,000. The cash cow calendar is another way to have a chance at cash. Each weekday in May, someone who purchased a cash cow ticket will win up to $10,000.
Proceeds from the lottery benefit community organizations around the peace. Including in these groups are the Rotary Club of Grande Prairie After Five, KidSport Grande Prairie & Area, and Grande Prairie Public School District Education Foundation. The list of others can be found on the Dream Home website.
Tickets are $100 or 3 for $250 with the five for $400 deal sold out. There is also extended hours at the home for the week leading up to the deadline. The home is open for viewing on weekdays the home is open from noon until 9:00pm, Saturday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Sunday from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm.
