With frost and melting snow, crews are working around the city on making gravel roads easier to drive on. Transportation Services Manager Robert Carroll says the melting snow and recent frost has saturated these roads around the region. He says graders are out working to make them safe and easy to drive on.
Carroll adds that repairs can be hard in these conditions as roads need to be dry to be able to do permanent repairs. Drivers are warned to travel using caution. Soft roads and ruts can cause control issues on the roads.
Truck drivers are also reminded that spring road bans are in effect at 50 per cent.
