Dawson Creek shooting suspect killed in Abbotsford

A man with an upcoming trial date for a 2015 shooting in Dawson Creek has been killed. The B.C. Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has confirmed 20 year old Jaskarn Lally was found in an Abbotsford, B.C. home with gunshot wounds around 4:30 Friday afternoon.

He had reportedly been shot two hours before police got there, and was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Dawson Creek Mirror, Lally was scheduled to be back in court in April on firearms charges stemming from to the drug-related shooting in February 2015.

Lally and three other men were arrested after a man was forced into a truck and shot several times at a rural Dawson Creek location. The victim managed to drag himself to a nearby road and got a ride to hospital.

IHIT and Abbotsford Police are investigating Lally’s death as a targeted incident. A Ford F-150 was seen fleeing the scene in the 3500-block of Chase Street. Anyone with info is asked to report it.
