UPDATE: The Hold and Secure has been lifted.
Peace Wapiti Academy and Harry Balfour School are currently under hold and secure due to a police incident in the area. Officials says students and staff are currently safe, and are waiting for police to assess the situation before letting anyone in or out of the buildings.
The incident isn’t related to the school, but they’ve locked their doors as a precaution to make sure everyone is safe and to help RCMP in their investigation.
