RCMP in Beaverlodge have arrested a man believed to be responsible for an assault earlier this month. The incident happened in Valhalla the morning of August 8th, and later that day police executed a search warrant at a home in Valhalla Centre. They took 33 year old Cody Allan Day into custody.
A further search of his home turned up cocaine, meth, a stolen vehicle and weapons. Day has since been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. He’s also charged with robbery, forcible confinement and multiple possession charges, including of a controlled substance, a weapon for a dangerous purpose and stolen property over $5,000.
Nine counts of failing to comply with a recognizance and three of failing to comply with probation have also been laid. Day remains in custody and will appear in Grande Prairie court on September 19th.
