Local school hits top three for Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser

The Peace Wapiti School Division is sending out a congratulations for one of their school’s accomplishments.

Harry Balfour school reached number three in the province on the top 10 list for most money raised in the Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser.

Altogether, the school raised $18,649.50 for the cause.

The Jump Rope for Heart initiative is part of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. The fundraiser aims to get children skipping rope while collecting pledges for heart disease and stroke research.

There are more than 750,000 kids across Canada that participate in Jump Rope for Heart events.
