Teen deaths ruled as homicides

The bodies of the two teens found dead earlier in the week in High Prairie have been examined and their deaths have been ruled as homicide.

The autopsies of the bodies of 17 year old Dylan Laboucan and 19 year old Cory Grey were completed Wednesday by the Office of the Medical Examiner in Edmonton and concluded that they had been shot.

The couple had been missing since Saturday night when RCMP were called to their home. Laboucan had reportedly been found lying outside the home unconscious, but by the time officers arrived he had disappeared. The body of Laboucan was found Monday night on the Whitefish River First Nation. Grey was found late Tuesday afternoon in a rural area outside of High Prairie.

RCMP say that with the evidence they have, the investigation is now focused on arresting the person responsible. Officers feel strongly that it was not a random act and the investigation does continue.
