Hythe newlyweds expecting identical quadruplets

A couple in Hythe got four times what they expected for their first child. Tim and Bethani Webb are expecting quadruplet girls this spring and didn’t find out that it was more than one baby until December 22nd, 2015. The Webbs married this summer and being first time parents, Bethani says they are shocked that there are four of them.

“First time for both of us. He tends to freak out more than I do… well I mean there is four girls, four identical girls, and he is a first time dad. He is very excited. I wanted four and he wanted two. I won and got my four.”

The community of Hythe has already come together to support the newlyweds on their journey to having quadruplets. There have been locals who have messaged diaper companies to help out the couple while others have decided to create a fundraiser. A local Hythe woman has put together a benefit on April 9th for the newlyweds and the four girls.

“We have been getting a lot clothes and diapers from people,” says Bethani. “There are people around the area making little hats, getting diapers ready, and making bracelets.”

The babies are expected to be named McKayla, Abigail, Grace and Emily but the couple isn’t sure who will be who just yet. At the mom-to-be’s next ultrasound, the doctors will determine when she will head to Edmonton to wait for her cesarean section to be done.

Webb’s original due date was June 20th, 2016 but she says with the girls being quadruplets, doctors hope the babies can make it to 32 weeks before they are born.
