Grande Prairie RCMP is looking for a man who offered candy to a group of youth this morning. This happened at a school bus stop in the area of 72nd Avenue and 99A and 99C Street.
Police say a man in an older-style light blue truck approached the group, but when they refused the candy, the suspect drove off. The man is described as Caucasian, at least six feet tall, maybe over 40 years old with a shaved head. He was reportedly not wearing warm clothing, and his pickup had a canopy on it.
Mounties are taking the opportunity to remind parents and caretakers to teach children to stay away from strangers and report anything suspicious to police right away.
