UPDATE: Peace River homicide “not a random act”

UPDATE: Mounties now say this homicide was not a random act. An investigation is underway, but Staff Sergeant Jeremie Landry says the public is not considered to be at any “undue risk” while RCMP work to solve the murder.

The man shot dead in Peace River Tuesday night has been identified as 24 year old Kelly Raymond L’Arrivee. The Peace River resident’s death is being treated as a homicide and the RCMP Major Crimes Unit has been called in to help investigate.

Peace Regional RCMP responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the Terrace Court Trailer Park around 7 p.m. on November 10th, but L’Arivee had already succumbed to his injuries. Anyone with information about the murder is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
