NDP to announce Grande Prairie-Mackenzie candidate

The federal NDP party is set to announce the candidate they are nominating to run in the Grande Prairie Mackenzie riding this evening.

Saba Mossagizi originally hails from Fort McMurray and has a degree in political science. She is also a union representative with United Food and Commercial Workers, where she handles employee management relations.

Mossagizi says some of her biggest priorities are job creation for the province’s youth and the treatment of temporary foreign workers.

The NDP is the last of the main parties to announce a nominee for the riding. Mossagizi will be running against Conservative incumbent Chris Warkentin, Liberal candidate Reagan Johnston, James Friesen with the Green Party, and Libertarian candidate Dylan Thompson.
