Anonymous threatening release of government documents

Online hacker group Anonymous is claiming to have hacked into Canadian government computers and stolen national security secrets in retaliation for the officer involved shooting of 48 year old James Daniel McIntyre.

The National Post says they have received a document from Anonymous to prove their claim.

The group is threatening to release the documents they say they have obtained if the officer involved in the shooting is not arrested by 5 pm today. The shooting took place in Dawson Creek on July 16 outside an open house for the Site C dam.

A government source has reportedly confirmed that authorities are aware of the threat.
